Developed for automated changing of workpieces, the [inoflex] VF-A offers even greater flexibility and productivity. The hydraulic actuation enables workpieces to be changed quickly and precisely, leading to significant increases in productivity, especially in automated operations.
Ideal for parts ranging from Ø 160 – 1200 mm, INOFlex® combines the advantages of 2-, 3- and 4-jaw chucks in one product. Through its patented compensation feature, it quickly centers and securely holds parts, without the risk of deformation.
In a conventional chuck, all drive parts move in the same direction around the center (e.g. wedge bar, wedge hook, scroll). The concentric compensation drive of the INOFlex®-4-jaw chuck allows the jaws to move on two parallel axes. Compensation is provided by connecting the diametrically opposed slides with levers and a sliding gate-type gear. This compensating technology allows round, rectangular and irregularly shaped workpieces to be machined concentric to the clamping device/ rotary axis in both turning and milling operations.
